Marriott Bonvoy and MGM Rewards have just expanded their partnership, to allow points transfers between the two programs. Surprisingly enough, this could actually be a decent deal.

So are we talking "tier credits" as points? Because they reset every year, would be best one to transfer them over to Marriott every year (whatever isn't used in the current year) or am I missing something?
For those parttime gamblers, would it be worth transferring Bonvoy points to MGM to move to a higher MGM tier level and thus get more benefits (free parking, no hotel resort fees, etc.) Would MGM give you credit for that?
Tier credits and rewards points at MGM are two different things points keep accruing year after year year credits reset . Point transfer just adds to your points balance will not effect your tier credits at all. This is useless transfer at 30k per year and the 30% haircut . I’m shocked at how bad this partnership is compared to Hyatt and I used to be a Noir . Still gold next year then breaking up with MGM . Broke up with Marriott long time ago. Mostly Hyatt and some Hilton now .
