Marriott has just announced the latest luxury property it has signed. It’s one that I’m looking forward to, though we’ll have to be (really) patient…

It’s really disappointing to see someone like you promoting resorts that involve cutting down so many trees. This kind of environmental destruction is heartbreaking. I expected more responsibility and care for nature from you

We love Bodrum and stayed at the additional hotel, like yourself years ago. Getting there from Mexico Cityon Turkish Airlines was half the fun.

Marriott is using “Bodrum” very loosely. The hotel will be at least an hour north of of the Bodrum Peninsula, close to the Six Senses.

There are a lot of non-American branded ultra luxury resorts in Antalya. It would be interesting to get your take one some of those.

Just ruins the nature / experience in a different way. Consider like the area in Kenya that is supposed to be the safaris and at one time there were very few tour operators doing it so it was REALLY nature and really an experience, but now with so many branded opportunities that even do not disguise itself as a camp.....

I've stayed at the Maxx Royal down there and it's perfectly nice, but the beaches and towns in general (especially within Antalya itself) do not compare. I'm sure you know it's a massive destination for Russians, and even the higher-end properties are much more of a party vibe (even compared to Bodrum). The Maxx Royal in Bodrum is significantly nicer.
