JetBlue has announced a series of changes to its loyalty program in 2026. The updates are both positive and negative (of course the airline only highlights the positives in the press release, and buries the negatives on another page), though one new perk stands out as being particularly cool, if you ask me.

Not all positive sir - Mosaic 2 doesn't only gets to book Even More Space at booking for 2 others. For a family of 4, that stings!

If they actually open lounges at JFK (still, supposedly, later this year), and BOS in 2026, that's most-impressive to me. JFK T5 has sorely needed a lounge, since it opened in 2008, and especially since jetBlue started Mint service in 2014. (Would be nice if they had one at LAX, FLL, MCO, and SJU, too).
I'd say these are net positive changes. They might be able to get over the hump and begin to reduce Delta's market share advantage. They need people to experience JetBlue so more people realize that JetBlue is much better than Delta. The family mileage will help. They should have made the cutoff age higher.
These are net negative changes for all Mosaic members. (The only real positive is more Mint upgrade certs for Mosaic 4).
Allowing only a single free drink in economy for elites is unbelievably cheap, while also gutting companion upgrades and checked bags (for Mosaic 1).
In fact, there's almost no benefit in even reaching for Mosaic 1 anymore, if you get the $99 credit card. Both now only offer one free bag, and a single free Mosaic drink is only worth about $4.50 per flight (with cc 50% off). Not only that, but if you're sure you wont need to cancel or change flight, then fly Basic fares...because again, there's practically no reason to spend the $40-100 more each way to fly Blue fares and you'll still get the free checked bag with credit card.
Mint is already better (lie flat), and flies transcon in several key domestic routes.
Oof. It’s almost as if a press release by a company isn’t designed to highlight bad things. Glad we have a cohort of status-sleuths ready to dissect the fine-print!
I don’t know what’s better than Delta. I’ve just completed the 25/25 challenge and my impression of JetBlue is cancellations, delays, crap app, crap IT, crap customer service… The irony is that now I have all the miles and elite status, but I dread flying JetBlue again…
A negative thst you didnt dicuss is Move to Mint certificates aren't 1:1. Jetblue has devalued them for most flights requiring 2 and European flights requiring 3. Mosaic 4 members may get more certificates, but it doesn't mean they will get more access to Mint inventory for free.
Can you please ask B6 to confirm the rumor that M1's with JB+ card will still get a second checked bag? (Hoping this is true, before I move all my 2026 travel)
The issue is Mint isn't universal across the fleet. I fly out of ISP to FLl, PBI, and MCO. Mint isnt offered on any of those aircraft.
This makes sense because most other US airlineS do not allow complimentary upgrades to business class TATL.
Very disappointing. Jet Blue has been out number one choice for a long time because of their generous and unique perks. Now they are at the same level we k as other airlines which is nothing special.
We have been loyal Jet Blue travelers and card holders for 15 years. Every trip was Jet Blue, what a disappointment this news is. I learned of it as I was trying to upgrade to the even more space seats when I learned there was a fee for one of my daughters. It’s not a huge fee, but a fee on top of all the money I’ve already spent is kind of a slap in the face. It may be time to seek out another airline/card
