The Venetian Las Vegas Joins World Of Hyatt: Points & Elite Perks
Hyatt recently announced a significant expansion to its footprint on the Las Vegas Strip, thanks to a new partnership. There’s now a major update, as the integration has been completed, so we know what to expect in terms of World of Hyatt perks.

I'm confused about the Globalist benefits. Do you get free breakfast? If so, where? And can you use a SUA?
@ Trevor -- Nope, the extent of the elite benefits are the ones listed there. You can't use suite upgrade awards, there's no breakfast benefit, etc.
Not active yet for me at least. Don’t see Venetian listed when searching using points in the app
I am increasingly worried about Hyatt going revenue based redemptions on all properties. There is precedent with the former SLH partnership, as they introduced a (new at the time) Category 8 and were on record as promising that Cat 8 pricing would never apply to Hyatt brands, only SLH. Lo and behold, Cat 8 comes to Hyatt not long after.
Posted before my thought was complete - the comparison here is that with Mr & Mr Smith being dynamic rev priced awards and now The Venetian too, it seems that is the new path forward for Hyatt "Partner" awards. Considering SLH was a Hyatt "Partner" and had some of their strategy applied to standard WoH awards, my worry is that this might happen here too.
Well its a bummer for those of us who focus more on IHG than Hyatt. There are basically no good IHG properties in Vegas anymore.
"You can earn the typical 5x World of Hyatt points per dollar spent, on both room rates and incidentals, including restaurants and shops, when charged to the room; stays are also eligible for elite nights"
Good luck actually getting points for F&B spend. Hyatt never correctly posts points for F&B spend, at least based on my experiences. Even my globalist concierge agent refuses to manually post the points.
This is pretty great news for corporate business travelers because tons of major conferences are held here throughout the year. Most of the time the rate booking outside of the Conference rate is better or the same so getting a ton of extra points for somewhere I am at multiple weeks a year is a win.
No waived parking or resort fees? Those are literally two perks that actually make a difference in Vegas.
For that reason, I'm out.
Probably should rephrase this paragraph lead: All World of Hyatt elite members receive the same elite perks
I get 76,750 points or $602 from the Hyatt app. I was expecting closer to 100,000 points per night when it was first announced but this is bad enough.
Me too. You’ll be able to catch me at the Rio … where globalist benefits apply (for the most part)
Aside from the weird ass breakfast thing.
Haven't been since November due back in February, but in November Globalist breakfast felt a lil see the monkeys in the cage - not to mention the "different" menu
In theory every room is a "suite" there 730-50 SF
Sunken living room ... More a large Jr Suite since there aren't doors. That and you have an entry hall, bed area then one or two steps down to the "living room"
Its fine, its generally spacious but doesn't work well if one likes to sleep in when the other half wants to sleep
The real test is to see how Venetian / Palazzo with gaming match, like MGM did.
For some of us it may be a game changer.
Surprised that they didn't minimally make use of the VIP lounge that I had access to as an InterCon Ambassador... was empty most of the time (For Check in and morning coffee, minimal pastries. No real food.)
Actually, it doesn’t show up if you just search for “Las Vegas” but it does show if you specifically search for “Venetian”. I assume it will soon show under a Las Vegas search as well.
For business travelers the channel limitation is a big one. MGM/Marriott only in Vegas is the rule it seems 🙁
No waiver of resort fees, correct? Then I’m not going there. Rio waivescthem
Looks like Venentian is its own category so should be easy to add a new brand here with one stay!
Let's summarize:
Terrible use of points
No elite benefits
Nothing to see here kiddos, move along
