Hotels are doing what they can to fill rooms as travel slowly starts to recover. In addition to Hyatt's excellent promotion for stays this summer, the company is also rolling out lower rates that include free breakfast. Hyatt is offering free breakfast and discounts for stays at participating properties over the coming months. To take…

Laughable as most properties in the US are trying to skirt the breakfast benefit for globes.

You should add that this stacks with the Chase 15% off offer!

Covid 19 reduced breakfast choices of pre-made defrosted sandwiches, cereals and boxed juices are hardly good breakfast choices and offer no inducement to book this rate.

Declined the breakfast options on recent stays. Points substitutions would make the benefit more credible, when the options are not edible.

You should have used a picture of your recent breakfasts...to go bags and self serve boxed cereals.
No one is having buffets for a long time.

I am probably the minority here but I really couldn't care less for breakfast in most of my hotel stays. If I am staying for business I rather walk to the closest coffee shop and get a real latte/cappuccino and a pastry and start my day than spend time in the hotel restaurant. If I am vacation, I prefer to explore local coffee shops for local food than eat cereal and omelets.

This is called a marketing scam... I booked a Hyatt stay about 10 days ago. They then raised their prices and are now discounting 20% - which is still higher than when I booked.

Yeah... not sure about the executing. Staying at Centric San Francisco later this week, and Brick and Beam is not open. 500 points/night instead. Not sure that's an even trade: 10 breakfasts (me+spouse) for 2500 points?

Gonna be a long year.

Hyatt’s summer rates in Kuala Lumpur are crazy expensive. Hilton has slashed its room prices in Malaysia to at least get some guests in their hotels. Meanwhile Hyatt's “breakfast rates” are obscene (even with their promotion).

I hope more hotels load these rates in the coming days as I’m not seeing them in quite a few non-excluded brands.

No one really cares about breakfast if they drop the quality this much. Prepackaged muffins and cup yogurt isn't going to convince me.
