Mexico and the United States have roughly the same amount of shore around the Gulf. Mexico and the United States are part of North America. Trump did not suggest renaming it the Gulf of the United States. But the change is the Gulf of America. Actually makes more sense. But if Trump suggests it it must be wrong. That is what they mean by TDS. Not approving of a leader or liking them is cool but hating everything they do just because of dislike does not make sense. I believe the tariff agreement with Europe exempts aircraft, which means US airlines can accept and use the Airbus aircraft they have ordered.

I forgot to look at the flight tracking map on my flights last Saturday but two weeks ago, the tracking map had both names listed, both Gulf of Mexico and Gulf of America.
There are also far more important things going on than changing words to be "inclusive". But you didn't speak out against those. Gulf of America is about inclusivity.

Gulf of Mexico isn't being very inclusive though; it isolates and discriminates against other people in the North American continent. Gulf of America shows it is shared by all people on the American continent. You can't simultaneously argue that notice to air missions is about inclusivity while gulf of america is not.

The problem with NOTAMs is not so much if it’s for Airmen or Air Missions, it’s that they are a terrible scheme for issuing important advisories. There are plain too many of them and majority are useless fluff like, “birds in the vicinity of the airport”. Sure, that’s just what happens when the airport is next to a bird sanctuary. Meanwhile important things fall through the cracks because who has the mental power to read through 100 pages of these right before a flight?

It seems like some commenters could use a reminder of basic reasoning. The term "airmen" was never strictly male-exclusive. Historically, "man" has often referred to humankind, not just one gender. And beyond that, calling it racist doesn’t make sense—gender is not the same thing as race.
Racism references skin color, not gender. Calling it discrimination would at least prove you're not just using buzz words to invoke feelings to rile people up to the change. Let's also be realistic neither one is important and if you're that sensitive probably shouldn't be operating an aircraft that holds hundreds of people's lives in your hand.
