Congratulations and kudos to Boeing. I have new respect for 737's after the FlyDubai incident where a Max8 flew over 100 knots faster than the Never Exceed speed. It apparently sustained 3.08 G's in the pull-out recovery, more than the 2.5 G limit, and the only damage was losing part of the rudder. Many planes are not built as structurally sound.

I agree, Southwest should ditch the Max7 for larger variants to include first class seats.

Thank god. Any margin improvement is a godsend in thus industry and I can’t wait to see the extra premium seats.

It's supposedly going to be a great plane for heavy but shorter routes like LGA/ORD, LGA/ATL, DCA/ORD. Hopefully, airline won't turn it into a torture chamber by stuffing as many seats as possible into it.

Ironically, the coolest variant to fly on (and best performing) will be the MAX7, which will be the most like an old fashioned high performer. Nice long range, undoubtedly the best performance - most likely the closest replacement that Boeing has for the 757 (that they stupidly killed. At least performancewise.

The MAX10, on the other hand, will be the consummate aircraft for corporate bean counters: good financial metrics while underperforming on a technical level. A wallowing over-stretched version of an old airframe that will show it's age. A bovine in fresh makeup. But hey, good economics are all that matters.
