Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines are introducing a shared premium economy cabin called Premium Reserve, arriving on 787s, A330s, and select 737 MAX 10s starting in 2028.
I'd love to see their new premium reserve seats replace their domestic first class seats. They look nicer than the current domestic first class seats.

Interesting to see from the rendering that Alaska will use the Recaro R4 seats whereas Hawaiian will use Collins MiQ seats.
I hope they rename Premium Class. It's already confusing SO MANY people now, and it'll get worse when this product rolls out. The idiots should've just kept the HA branding of Extra Comfort...
I'm excited by this and probably their target as I do like something more comfortable than economy but don't quite have the budget for first class. The seats look great, better than some first class seats out there.
They're selling the current domestic config premium economy as premium economy on international flights. I have some friends who paid a ridiculous amount for an upgrade only to learn that they were in extra legroom economy. They had a miserable flight. Always do your homework.
