Are Atmos Titanium eligible to upgrade from economy to business on award tickets?
Only Atmos Titanium members, per https://www.alaskaair.com/atmosrewards/content/benefits/complimentary-upgrades/alaska-hawaiian?int=Atmos_WEB_MemberBenefitsEliteComplimentaryUpgrade_borealis-grid2_CARD1||segment-upgrades-on-alaska_v4. In practice it sounds like it's tough to get an upgrade, but this is pretty cool and the only US airline that does this for intl business.
I like that Alaska had a lack of restrictions on cancellations and changes - compared to Singapore’s spontaneous escapes (ie the complete lack of changes allowed).
I wish it didn’t have to originate in the USA. But those deals are very good.
The promotion may be modeled after Flying Blue, but it's much less useful. It's surely overhyped and under-delivered.
Too few destinations, too many restrictions (only four days to book, can travel only during small travel Windows), no premium cabins. In a word: useless.
"This is valid specifically for redemptions in economy, and not for travel in first class, business class, or premium economy"... that's disappointing, because the major outsized value with Alaska Atmos is partner F/J, but even then, usually it's a last-minute thing for top-tier redemptions like JL, JX, etc. (or a temporary glitch). There used to be some decent AA redemptions as well, but they've really cut back, lately. Fortunate to have found F on AA's 773 to EZE (thanks to Frequent Miler for finding and promoting that one! @Peter_ did you end up doing that one?)

That is a rich person's and MAGA's perspective. Only fat cats demand F and J awards and they should be punished!
Tax those rich people with tons of Atmos or other airline miles. Give them to the poor. The rich people with miles can afford it. They are too greedy. They need to be punished with taxes and taxes need to be weaponized to cause pain.
Regular people fly economy class. AOC is our hope though she may be a secret fat cat.

And, if I recall correctly, you’re one of those Maple MAGA (Canadians who hate Canada), aren’t you? Yeah, naw, yeah… nearly everything you said is totally “off.” Staying focused on ‘the hobby,’ please, anyone and everyone wants cheap lie-flat awards if they can.
Im happy with all of these destinations and think its a pretty fair and competitive price, but I really think members need more than a few days to book. Flying Blue does a great job with their program to keep members engaged and offer value. I don't mind that it's only economy, yes J or F would be preferred but they are just too congested generally and I think Alaska wants to maintain good relationships with it's partners. Maybe on their own metal they can offer a special one day.
I'm glad there's any availability on partners at all. It's almost impossible to find anything on JL or CX in econ, let alone F/J. Sometimes I have dreams about finding space on Hainan.

Seems like these are not live anymore? They were there yesterday but appear to not be there for saver awards. AS mileage “atmos” plan getting more and more underwhelming every day
i agree 100%, . . . but it's nothing new, . . . AS trying to rip you off as much as possible. Happens already since over a year now. Had many issues with the program in recent months. Award flights on partners were cancelled without any notice, all within 1 day of booking, fees charged never refunded!
Award pricing got so crazy expensive, it's a niche program to me by now. Credits from partners, hardly ever post automatically, online request is done via stone age email + boarding passes . . . what a sad progress in the wrong way. Kudus to UA, just enter flight details, ticket number and you are done! Miles credited almost instantly after the flight!
AS . . . i hope this airline and the program will get modern soon or i have to completely ditch them.

Hi Lucky - I noticed that Alaska doesn't show ANY award availability (Eco or J) on JX from SFO to TPE. I see inventory out of LAX, ONT, SEA, etc. But nothing out of SFO. Even in economy for any dates on the schedule! Any reason for this?

There's a 2,000 bonus point opportunity for using Atmos Dining for the first time - spend $50 and write a review. Was pushed that yesterday. Easy opportunity if you'll be dining out anyway.
AS Getaways Award Sale comparing with KL/AF or SQ . . . . seems like a far way to go!
I don't want to spoil those who are happy to grab any of those few opportunities that AS is offering in a very (VERY!!) weak way.
Comparing AS program with any other global player sounds like a fairytale to me!
An airline that's more in the NEGATIVES vs. the positive in my mind, i just can't put ANY trust in that airline at all, such comparisons with REAL global Airlines is real "dreaming"!

Even IF these unfrequent Award Sales should be something GREAT and cool, they're just simplyNOT worth it most of the time, as the restrictions are 99% of a 100% possibility!
Wish the management from VX would have had the saying vs. the awful people of AS after the buyout, they just cont. as bad as they have always been!
While any of the other programs out there and airlines too, get creative, but in a way, that clients enjoy remembering them in a positive way! AS, . . . far from that!

These are good for backup tickets for travel you'll be booking much closer to the departure date
Some of these opportunities are fantastic. That said, it *would* be nice if a few opportunities in Business Class popped up as well from time to time. At my age, I'm not flying across an ocean in Economy! But I have had great success in flying to Europe and Asia using Alaska points (in J) on multiple occasions. My daughter, OTOH, is young enough to curl up in an Economy seat and survive...
