For quite some time, Air France-KLM Flying Blue has been offering paid status match promotions, on an on-again, off-again basis. The status match has always had residency requirements, though the list of countries that are targeted does change over time.

Can I do it again if I already got matched in the past?

Super curious why ANA and JL are not on this list meanwhile AF-KLM runs a Japan region only status match promotion, which includes ANA and JL status holders. How come such intentional exclusions.

No. I tried and got a message I had already matched in the past.

Anyone do a status match and then get the credit card to get the XPs up to Platinum in the sign up bonus?

The only repeatable status match to Flying Blue is via Bilt.

Very curious about this as well. I've thought about it. I think you need to get the credit card first, wait a few weeks, then do the status match, then do the SUB requirements. This way the annual XPs hit during the Gold year that was status matched.

What happens to one's existing XP balance when doing a Flying Blue status match? I'm already silver and more than halfway towards gold. Of course it'd be nice if I could leverage this status match offer to get to gold, and then still have my existing XP's count towards FB platinum.

Ha. I was thinking it would have to be opposite where you get the Gold status and the XPs "deposit" after you have the status and are working on the next tier. Maybe it doesn't matter or doesn't work at all.

Nice picture choice! (KLM's Crown 52 lounge at AMS! They got all those Delft Blue Houses there!)

They rejected my match from LH because I have no flight records, which is fair. But matching AA while ignoring AS, which I do earn by flying is annoying - -

I am with you and more or less in the same situation with the same question. However, I would not be surprised if present members of FB were not eligible for status matches, even being elites with other alliances.

What about never having yet made a Status Match (Possible as OW Emerald) BUT being already a present member of FB?

Has it expired? I received this when I logged in:

"This offer is unavailable at your location, or the offer has expired.
The Status Match offer for the country you have selected, or the campaign has ended.

We have recorded your interest in a future Status Match, and you will be alerted if we are able to extend this offer to you in the future."
