Airlines often have special amenities for babies and kids. That’s both to keep them entertained (so that they don’t bother other passengers), and so that they have a great time (kids can often influence travel decisions).

Also worth noting that Flying Blue has a fairly robust family pooling and I'm fairly sure that miles don't expire for under-18s.
This is fantastic! Traveling SFO-CDG-FCO with my wife and daughter next month in business (somehow we found saver award availability). She’ll be 19 months on this trip.
Her first flight was last year in AF J at 9 months old. The cabin crew was incredibly sweet and gave her a few toys and a certificate for her first flight. The towel/mini-blanket she got then is very similar to this kit.
TK, QR, BA, LX, JL, NH, SQ have all given our kids amenity bags / toys. TK and QR being the most elaborate. Its a nice gesture for sure and gets the kids in a good frame of mind.
DL and AA have sometimes handed out the pilot wings badges. When EI pilot saw my 6yr old peering into the cockpit, he let him into the cockpit to sit for a photo with the crew 🙂
Don't forget about the kids meals. Miles is too young but I used to like the kids meals very much.
Just flew Air France: Premium Economy there, then returned in Business. I asked for just the one small kit, and they completely spoiled me and I got all three! They are absolutely adorable, and the quality is just perfection. Add that to the list of why Air France is my favorite. Their savoir-faire is unmatched.
