Link: Apply now for the World of Hyatt Credit Card
The World of Hyatt Credit Card is one of the most lucrative hotel credit cards out there, and is a favorite of mine. We’ve just seen a new limited time welcome offer rolled out on this card. It’s not the most exciting offer ever, but many will prefer it to the previous one.

World of Hyatt Card bonus offer details
For applications through Thursday, August 28, 2025, the World of Hyatt Credit Card is offering a two-part welcome bonus, structured as follows:
- Earn two World of Hyatt Category 1-4 free night awards after spending $4,000 within the first three months
- Earn 25,000 World of Hyatt bonus points after spending a total of $12,000 within the first six months
The free night awards are valid for standard rooms at Category 1-4 property, which retail for up to 18,000 World of Hyatt points per night. They’re valid for 12 months from when they’re issued.
Personally, I value World of Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each. So I’d value the 25,000 points at $375, while I might value the free night awards at roughly 15,000 points each, which would make the two of them worth $450. That means I value the total offer at $825.
This is hardly the most exciting welcome offer ever, but it’s worth understanding that this card almost never has an eye-catching offer, and I’d argue this is better than the previous offer, which offered at most an incremental 45,000 points.

World of Hyatt Card eligibility requirements
If you’re interested in applying for the World of Hyatt Credit Card, the typical Chase credit card application restrictions apply.
Fortunately beyond that, the rules are pretty simple. You’re not eligible for the bonus on the card if you currently have this card, or if you’ve received a new cardmember bonus on the card in the past 24 months. Eligibility for this card is unrelated to whether you have the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (review), which is the business version of the card, and which typically has a superior welcome bonus.

Why the World of Hyatt Card is worth it
The World of Hyatt Credit Card has a $95 annual fee, and offers a variety of perks that could make it worthwhile:
- The card offers World of Hyatt Discoverist status for as long as you’re a cardmember
- The card offers five elite nights toward status annually just for having the card, with no spending requirement
- The card offers two elite nights toward status for every $5,000 spent on the card, so spending on the card can help you earn World of Hyatt Globalist status and can count toward Milestone Rewards
- The card offers a Category 1-4 free night award on the account anniversary every year
- The card offers a second Category 1-4 free night award when you spend $15,000 on the card in a calendar year
- The card offers 4x points on Hyatt spending, and 2x points on dining at restaurants, airline tickets purchased directly from airlines, on fitness club and gym memberships, and on local transit and commuting, including ridesharing services
There’s merit to spending $15,000 on this card per year, as that’s very much a sweet spot. This way you earn an incremental six elite nights toward status (in addition to the five you get just for having the card), plus a second Category 1-4 free night award (in addition to the anniversary one you usually get). Spending that amount would also unlock the additional 25,000 bonus points, as part of the welcome offer.

Bottom line
The World of Hyatt Credit Card has a two-part welcome bonus that potentially offers more value than before. With this, you can earn two Category 1-4 free night awards, and then you can also earn an additional 25,000 bonus points.
Ultimately this isn’t a card you get just for the bonus, but instead, it’s a card you get because of the long term value that it offers, as the card earns free night awards on an ongoing basis, and can help you earn status.
This is a card I’ve had for years, and one that I spend at least $15,000 on annually. If you stay at Hyatts with any frequency, then having this card should be a no-brainer. If nothing else, getting an anniversary free night award just for paying a $95 annual fee is a great deal.
Anyone plan to pick up the World of Hyatt Credit Card?
Sounds nice but isn't. The bonus used to be 60k, or about 4 nights in a Cat 4. And it came with 1 Cat 1-4 night already, so this offer is really only like 1 extra night.
Part 1 of the offer is good, part 2 sucks. I just got 75,000 points with Chase Ink Cash by spending 6k in 3 months with no fee.
I finished Chase Freedom last week. $500 in 3 months with 25,000 points, no fee.
Thank you Chase for 8 nights in Bangkok at Hyatt Regency saving me $1600 to $1800. Free money.
I find holding Chase hotel affiliated CCs a no brainer despite devaluation of points and certificates. I just used a Hyatt 1-4 certificate for the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables which the cash price would have been $660.
I had this card for several years but got rid of it last year, solely because of the category 1-4 restrictions on free night certificates. I wish there was a way to “buy up” using additional points say, to use at a cat 5 hotel - say like you can with Marriott Bonvoy. Many decent cat 4 hotels have migrated up.
There's a bit of irony in using a picture from the Alila Napa Valley, a category 8 hotel, as a headline photo for an article about a credit card offer for category 1-4 nights.
Weak. Hold out for 60K or 5 free nights with normal spend requirements.
I have had the Hyatt card for about four years. It provides a CAT 1-4 room once a year that I generally value at about $200 as Hyatt award stays do not impose Resort Fees. So there's a net -$100 fee for the card.
Discoverist status (card provides that) does not provide much, but it does allow for late check outs. I transfer quite a few Chase Ultimate Rewards Points to Hyatt each year...

Discoverist status (card provides that) does not provide much, but it does allow for late check outs. I transfer quite a few Chase Ultimate Rewards Points to Hyatt each year and my stays often result in Club Access awards, which make each stay better.
When I do pay for a Hyatt room, the card provides a solid return on my stay. I have picked up a few free nights using their brand explorer which gives you credit on award stays.
I've been waiting for the right bonus to sign up for this card. But, again, this isn't it. Cat 1-4 is pretty worthless
I find them very useful in Europe, particularly near airports. I often stay the night before a flight or after a late arrival near airport.
Recently booked a CAT 1 in Rouen, France (Hyatt Place Rouen) which meets ny needs while passing through that wonderful city.
Agreed. I can think of places to use them, but its a far cry from the old bonus with essentially unrestricted free nights. I'd never stayed in anything remotely close to the Andaz Tokyo before then.
