We’ve just seen a transfer bonus introduced from Citi ThankYou to Accor Live Limitless, and it has the potential to be a very good deal. We saw a similar promotion last fall, so it’s nice to see this return.

Transfer Citi ThankYou points to Accor ALL with a 50% bonus

Through Saturday, May 11, 2024, you can receive a 50% bonus when you transfer points from the Citi ThankYou program (in the United States) to Accor Live Limitless (ALL). Ordinarily points transfer at a 1,000:500 ratio, while through this promotion you’d get 750 Accor points for every 1,000 Citi ThankYou points transferred.

There’s no limit to how often you can take advantage of this promotion, and there’s no registration required. This is being offered on Citi’s end, so make sure you see the bonus reflected before you transfer points.

There are several great cards earning Citi ThankYou points, including the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card (review), and it’s easy to combine points between the cards.

Should you transfer Citi points to Accor?

Accor Live Limitless is probably the most straightforward hotel program out there on the redemption side. The program is fully revenue based, and you can swap every 2,000 Accor points for €40 off your hotel bill. Put differently, every 1,000 Citi points converts into 750 Accor points, and those points are enough for €15 (~$16) off a hotel stay. You can redeem as many points as you’d like toward a hotel stay.

Accor points can be redeemed toward hotel stays

So this is an opportunity to redeem your Citi ThankYou points as cash toward any Accor hotel stay at the rate of 1.6 cents (USD) each. That’s not a half bad rate at which to cash out transferable points, and is way better than the 1.0 cents of value you can get per point toward the cost of a flight or hotel stay under normal circumstances with Citi ThankYou.

Accor has quite the diverse hotel portfolio, including everything from Raffles, Banyan Tree, Fairmont, and Sofitel, in the premium sector, to Mercure, Novotel, ibis, and 25h, in the upscale and economy sector.

Bottom line

Through May 11, 2024, you can receive a 50% bonus when you transfer Citi ThankYou points to Accor Live Limitless. With the bonus, you’ll receive 750 Accor points for every 1,000 Citi points. This is essentially a way to cash out your Citi ThankYou points for Accor hotel vouchers at the rate of €15 per 1,000 Citi points.

While you can get more value with your points with aspirational flight redemptions, this is one of the highest value offers we’ve ever seen for transferable points when redeeming them for a cash like rewards currency.

Do you plan on taking advantage of this 50% bonus on Citi to Accor transfers?

I pulled the trigger on this deal. If you can max it out, its an amazing deal. For 12,000ACCOR (it's around $230USD) points you can join the discount club that gets you 20 nights (free silver status) as well at 10%-20% off nights. Also gives you access to Red Hot Rooms if you get the Asia version which can be some great deals. The Asia Pass also gives you 25-50% off dining. You can redeem...

You can redeem Accor points for ANY hotel charges so you can use it for dining as well. The only trick is you can only redeem points in bunches of 2000 pts (40E) so you need to plan things out a bit if you are doing shorter stays. I max'd out my TYP for this xfer bonus and will do so again next time!

    One post lol
I guess that demonstrates the failure of interest into anything Accor
They have improved but still clueless how to run a popular program

Thanks for the article. Given Citi's transfer rate to Leaders Club and that program's redemption value, one realizes 1.5 to 1.6 cents per Citi point. That's competitive relative to the Chase Sapphire Reserve's 1.5 cpp on travel portal redemptions. This bonus to Accor puts it in the same range . . . and really should be the standard transfer rate. Unless and until there's a change, only during such bonuses is when one should consider such a transfer.
