One year anniversary!

One year anniversary!

11

Wow, I’m an idiot. I was just thinking to myself “hmmm, I’ve been blogging for a while now, let me see how long it has been.” Well, as it turns out I started blogging on February 4, 2008, which is a year ago to the day! Dumb luck, I guess.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all those that have been reading (and commenting) over the past year. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed blogging and all the friends I’ve made through it. I appreciate every one of you, and hope you’ll continue to stick around and provide feedback, be it a suggestion for a post or telling me what a moron I am sometimes. 😉 From the helpful tips I’ve received to the cool things that have happened (like getting a shout out from YYZ ATC, thanks guys!), it has been a blast.

Times are tough worldwide right now, so it’s more important than ever to maximize those miles and points! If there’s anything related to travel that I can help you out with, be it help with booking an award, trying to upgrade, suggestions for destinations, etc., please send me an email and I’d be happy to help out. Also, sometimes I lose sight of the more basic things, so if I ever go into detail on something and you don’t understand it, please let me know. Also, feel free to send in any suggestions for posts, no matter how basic they be. If you’d like a better understanding of how the upgrade priority works on a particular airline or how to best book awards, I’d be happy to provide a detailed explanation, as I’m sure there are others with the same questions.

Here’s to hoping for another great year….

    Ben,

Congratulations. I am still using your blog as a Web 2.0 example in conference sessions.

Lucky, you should use www.flightmemory.com and keep track of flights, time, etc.

Apparantly in 2008, I circumnavigated the earth 9.34 times, and spent almost 497 hours in airplanes. Since I've been keeping track I've made it to the moon 1.92 times and am already 0.005 x the distance to the sun! Come on solar mileage run!!!!

Wow girls and guys, thanks for all the nice comments!

sam, for my own sanity I don't think I want to know. :D Whatever it is, I spent just as much time at airports, which is just as scary. You want to take a guess? I'll try to do the math and get back to you...

you've been great lucky, have you ever try to calculate just how many hours in total did you spend on planes this last year?
