Amex Bus Plat 30% MR rebate and multiple MR accts

Amex Bus Plat 30% MR rebate and multiple MR accts

Perhaps a weird question, but I can’t find a clear answer anywhere.

I have the Amex Business Platinum card, which provides a 30% rebate on pay-with-points when booking travel. I am also an authorized user on my wife’s MR-earning cards, so I have access to both MR accounts. Hers actually has more points in it since the Everyday Preferred card is in her name, and we use it for all the bonus categories + 50% bonus for 30+ transactions.

If I were to log into Amex site to book travel, but choose my wife’s MR account as the redemption source (I am asked this when I go to the Amex travel site), would I still receive the 30% bonus on pay-with-points, or would this only be applicable if I chose my own MR account?

Not 100% sure, as I don’t have that card, but I think you’d need to choose your own card.
