The World of Hyatt Credit Card (review) and World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (review) are Hyatt’s two co-branded credit cards. There are a variety of benefits to having both of these cards, and in addition to published benefits, we sometimes see promotions for cardmembers. We’ve just seen one such offer introduced, valid for stays in late 2024.
In this post:
Earn bonus points with Unbound Collection by Hyatt
Those with either the personal or business version of the World of Hyatt credit card can receive 1,000 bonus points per night at Hyatt’s Unbound Collection properties:
- Registration is required between August 26 and October 31, 2024
- You must stay between September 1 and November 30, 2024
- You can earn a maximum of 20,000 bonus points with this promotion
- Any stay booked directly with Hyatt should be considered eligible, including a free night redemption
- This is valid for stays at all Unbound Collection by Hyatt properties globally
- Bonus points will post two to three weeks after you complete an eligible stay
For those not familiar, Unbound Collection is one of Hyatt’s “softer” brands, and it’s comprised of roughly 40 hotels. Unbound Collection properties tend to be unique, and some are really nice.
We’ve seen Hyatt offer brand specific promotions for cardmembers in the past. This one is pretty decent, as you can be rewarded for each night you stay (rather than only once per stay). I value Hyatt points at 1.5 cents each, so this is like an incremental $15 return per night at an eligible property.
Hopefully this is in addition to a bigger global promotion offered for all World of Hyatt members in the fall.
Why Hyatt’s credit cards are worth having
Chase and Hyatt have two co-branded credit cards, and both can be worth having.
There’s a lot to love about the World of Hyatt Credit Card, as it offers:
- Automatic World of Hyatt Discoverist status for as long as your account is open
- Five qualifying elite nights toward your next tier status every year
- Two qualifying elite nights toward your next tier status every time you spend $5,000 on your card
- A Category 1-4 anniversary free night certificate on your account anniversary every year
- A second Category 1-4 free night certificate when you spend $15,000 on the card in a year
Meanwhile the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card has a different value proposition, but can still be worthwhile. The card is even more rewarding if you’re trying to earn elite nights toward spending, as you earn five elite nights for every $10,000 spent. The card offers some other perks as well, like an annual $100 Hyatt credit.
Bottom line
Those with a co-branded World of Hyatt credit card can earn 1,000 bonus points per night at an Unbound Collection by Hyatt property this fall. It’s probably not worth going out of your way to complete a stay just to qualify for this offer (since these properties usually aren’t cheap), but this is a nice offer nonetheless.
Do you plan on taking advantage of this World of Hyatt credit card offer?
If I check in on 8/31 and check out on 9/1 do I get the points?
Not a big enough deal to make plans around, but picking up 7k pts for an already reserved week at Panamá City’s Hotel La Compañia in October will be a nice discount. This is the icing on the cake, their suite upgrades for Globalists are beyond comparison.
