I have a question regarding SPG Suite Night Awards.
Hi Ben
I have a question regarding SPG Suite Night Awards. Could you help me understand them a bit more with your explanation. So far what I understand in simple language is that a suite night award gets me an upgrade to a suite. Now I have 2 questions for 2 scenarios :
1. If I’m booked in a basic/standard room, do I get upgraded to the standard suite or the highest available suite ?
2. If I’m booked in a standard/midlevel suite, do I get upgraded to any higher category or maybe even the highest available category or is there a limit to how many levels higher upgrade they provide even if every suite category is widely available.
Lastly, just a general one regarding SNA. If my SNA certificate c;ears, does the hotel inform me in advance what room I’ve been upgraded to. If yes and if I do not like the upgrade, can I cancel the SNA ?
I know those are quite a few questions but it would be great to have your expert opinion rather than waste these difficult to get SNA certificates.

1) Each hotel chooses which suites to include for SNAs. Once you make a booking you’ll see the options. It’s typically to a standard suite.
2) It’s the same regardless of what room you book originally.
