Booking Four Seasons stay through a preferred agent

In light of Ben’s recent article regarding how it’s worthwhile to book through a preferred agent… is it possible to do this and still pay using Ultimate Rewards points? While I realize it’s not the best use of those points, that’s how I’ve chosen to redeem for a stay in the Seychelles next March. Is it possible to book through a preferred agent and still use UR points somehow or are these booking options mutually exclusive.

Thanks

Those are mutually exclusive. To use URs like cash you must use the Chase portal to book.

Just tagging on here that if you wanted to do something like this in future, the better points to have would be Capital One Venture/Spark miles, or a similar currency that allows you to redeem against travel charges for a statement credit.

Makes sense Tiffany. Thanks for the tip.
