What cards should I use after Sapphire Preferred???

What cards should I use after Sapphire Preferred???

I got the Sapphire Preferred, which is amazing! My question is what (if any) cards should I be using after meeting the $4K requirement for the 100,000 points?

Grant did you get the Sapphire Preferred or the Reserve? In either case you should use whatever cards you are going to get sign up bonuses on and then use cards that maximize returns on the category you are spending on.

    Hi Grant!

Are you just wondering what card to get next? If so, can you tell us more about your travel goals, and any other miles or points you might have?

There are a ton of cards you could potentially get. I would suggest Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited. Chase Freedom earns 5 points/dollar in rotating categories (advertised as 5% cash back) and Chase Freedom Unlimited earns 1.5 points/dollar (advertised as 1.5% cash back) on everything. Neither card has an annual fee and each has a 15,000 point bonus after only $500 spend. You can transfer the points you get through those cards to your Sapphire Preferred.

Use Chase Sapphire Preferred for dining and travel, Chase Freedom for the 5x bonus category, and Freedom Unlimited for everything else. Then transfer all the points to your Sapphire Preferred account.

**It’s not clear from your post if you got the Sapphire Reserve or Preferred, but the same strategy with Freedom and Freedom Unlimited works for both.
