Virgin America Elevate Sign On Bonus
I got the Virgin America Premium card and recieved the sign up bonus 15,000 pts within 5 days of spending the minimum. My GF got the card, spent the minimum and still hasn’t recieved the points. One CSR told her to allow up to 72 hrs, it’s been over a week. Now they’re telling her to wait the 90 days.
In the card’s terms and conditions it says wait 5-8 weeks, which is 56 days max.
Any advice and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t know that there’s much you can do other than wait the 5-8 weeks per the T&C. But I bet it shows up by the time her first bill is due.
Sometimes banks make cardholders wait out the full introductory period before posting bonus points/miles. My sister applied for the Citi Premier card when there was still a bonus and she had to wait the full 3 months before the sign up bonus was posted even though she met the spend in about 6 weeks.
Does the T&Cs specifically say that bonus points will post within 5-8 weeks of meeting the spend? If not I’d assume its 5-8 weeks after that 90 day period…
