Dropping Amex Platinum. Best no fee Amex?

Dropping Amex Platinum. Best no fee Amex?

  1. Nicholas A New Member

I’ll be dropping my Amex Platinum because I can no longer justify the AF (among other things) in the next couple months and am looking to move to a no or low-fee Amex.

I have a significant amount of MRs that I want to retain access to. I’m looking at the following cards:
    – Blue from American Express® Card
    – Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express

Can I still maintain MRs if I close my platinum and open the Blue Cash Everyday? I understand both the cards have foreign transaction fees, but I have enough other cards without to use for travel.

Thoughts, advice, and other potential cards?

Blue Business Plus would be best if you can get a business card (2x points on the first $50k), otherwise Amex Everyday for a no-fee personal card

The “Blue Cash” doesn’t earn real Membership Rewards points, so I wouldn’t recommend it in your case.

Everyday and Everyday Preferred both keep your premium MRs. I dont believe the Blue or Blue Cash does.
