Credit cards offering points in Ireland?

Credit cards offering points in Ireland?

    Hi Ben,
Great site. I see you earn most of your points ‘churning credit cards’. However, as someone based in Ireland, but who is now starting to travel a lot for work, long-haul, I can’t find any credit cards for Irish domiciled users. I have read of some Irish people who have access to UK addresses and credit ratings, and do this, via the UK, but, do you know of any credit card available to Irish citizens with and Irish only address that offer points (the Irish banks don’t). Apologies if you have already dealt with this before, but I don’t see it. Regards, Sean

    Hi again Ben,

It might be worth adding that I am tending to fly BA, as they have good code-share flights out of Ireland to HRW, from where I base most of my long-haul. I have worked Avios to get some upgrades, but my problem is I am not amassing enough Avios as they have dramatically increased the number required to get an upgrade to Club World, from PE. So ideally any card open to Irish domiciled citizens that can attain Avios is what I would prefer. l tried BA, for their card, but they don’t offer their card to Irish domiciled customers, which seems unfair. I also noticed they don’t put up the dedicated Silver Member phone number if you log in as being from Ireland to their Executive Club, which I have recently written to them about. So I missed upgrades that had to be booked by phone, because I got the general phone number and was left on hold for over 20 mins sometimes. They still haven’t addressed this, other than replying and saying they don’t discriminate against Irish passengers and they will pass this information to some other person!

    Thanks again,
