If you apply for and receive a credit card entirely for the welcome bonus, how long after receiving the welcome bonus do you typically wait before closing it?

A year or so. Remember that when you apply for a card it’ll show up on your credit report, as well as when the card is closed. Banks wont like seeing cards being opened and closed so soon.
