Can I buy airline gift cards for air travel credit?
I have the AA Executive Platinum and the Citi Prestige. As this year wraps up, I only have a few flights left to maximize the 2016 calendar year air credit. My question is what are the requirements of each card to count as air travel credit: Can I use them to purchase miles or gift cards, to make better use of current miles/costs?
Also looking to get Chase Sapp Reserve, but hesitant until I can figure out how to maximize current air travel credit.
Airline gift cards are eligible for the credit on the CitiPrestige as well as the CSR.
The Citi AAdvantage Executive card doesnt have any travel credits.
And if you are flying anyways, just use the Prestige (or CSR) to book the flight tickets and you’ll automatically see the credit. In addition the CSR will also reimburse other travel related expenses like hotels.
