AMEX Creating New HH Accounts on New Cards ?
We have taken several new AMEX cards in the past years and I have always posted our long held Hilton Honors on the online applications when I apply, yet , we still receive cards with new Hilton Honors account numbers.
I call AMEX and usually get connected to a Philippines call center and get all kinds of apologies and long winded conversation and promises to immediately change the new Hilton Honor accounts to our long held numbers.
I was told by a Hilton Honor customer rep that this is an ongoing problem from the AMEX end that affects many and a lot of information is not keyed in or is incorrect, especially account numbers.
We are chasing a 50k bonus that was earned two months ago and still has not posted.
AMEX acknowledges the spend being met and the award being issued.
I am awaiting having two other AMEX cards changing the wrong Hilton Honors numbers.
This is time consuming for me to try to keep these current and keep making calls and sending emails to get things correct in a timely manner.
Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have advice ?
