Amazon stops Hilton points for gift cards?

Amazon stops Hilton points for gift cards?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky,

Obviously Hilton point redemptions on Amazon are a terrible value, but I was able to get in on that deal a few years ago when points were valued at 2.5x higher and was able to purchase a good amount of Visa gift cards at excellent value.

Anyway, I randomly checked Amazon visa gift cards today and noticed that the box to use Hilton points at payment is not available. Points can still be used for most other purchases (though I would never do it).

So just checking if you knew about this and if so, if you have any insight into why it is no longer allowed?

    Thanks

Most travel companies right now are trying to conserve cash so they are stopping redemptions that would depelete available cash and/or cause a run on their currencies.
