AA International System Wide Upgrades

AA International System Wide Upgrades

  1. Art S New Member

I have several AA system wide upgrades. What class must I book/purchase to be eligible for business class: economy or premium economy? Or, to put it another way, if I book/purchase economy and use system wide upgrade, assuming space, do I get upgraded to premium economy or business? Thanks.

Any paid fare class (not award booking) in economy or premium economy qualifies for an upgrade to business using a systemwide. Or, you could book business and upgrade to First Class if flying somewhere on the 777-300ER.

Currently the certificates skip premium economy… so yes you can purchase economy and upgrade straight to business class without having to do anything different.

    Thanks. Very helpful.
