Hi All,

Before my question, let me preface that I have read Lucky;s horrible night in Male overnight hotel at the Inn!

But I have to stay overnight (both incoming and outgoing) before I head to Conrad…that’s just how my flights ended up being. I am going to be there with family but surely don’t want to spend anymore than I have to….any suggestions on nearby hotels/inns? My only want is a decent bed and a decent toilet….nothing more!!

Lori–have you checked tripadvisor? That is my usual go to resource if I am not familiar with an area.

I stayed at the Hotel Ocean Grand on Hulhumale back in May. It was perfectly acceptable (modern/clean/relatively inexpensive if you don’t opt for a balcony room). They have car service to/from the airport as well.

You have numerous options nearby accessible by speedboat. Make a search on any OTA and select 15 miles as your distance. You will spend a bit, but will actually have a far better experience. Boats can run at night to properties within a 30-45 min boat ride.
