What credit card would you recommend as being the best for my situation?

So, I’m looking for an everyday credit card to use. I’ve accumulated a decent amount of miles, with bonus offers like a 40,000 /1000 delta amex, but I don’t really have a great everyday card. My situation might be slightly different than most because I’m in the military. I was going to apply for the citi prestige, but I don’t know if I can justify the annual fee when I already get the amex platinum with all the benefits for no annual fee. And because I’ve started to accumulate bonus miles and hotel stays, I’m a few cards over the Chase Sapphire Preferred limit of 5/24. I’m planning to try and take a RTW vacation when I get out of the Army in a little less than two years, or if I can’t pay for a good chunk of the flights with bonus miles, just fly over to Europe, which is why I’d like the credit card to be good for helping me out with that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How about the Amex Everyday & Everyday Preferred Cards and/or the Amex PRG card? That combo would get you Amex MR points pretty quickly.

Have you looked into the Navy Federal Flagship Reward card? It’s really easy to accumulate travel points.

That looks like cash back credit card, 2 points per dollar and assuming 1 cent per point when redeeming, it’s basically a 2% cash back card. I think the Citi Doublecash is better, since redeeming cash much is easier.
