What CCs to go for
Hi All,
I only have the Chase preferred card but I have to make a large purchase for work in a couple weeks and they are ok with me using my own card and then will reimburse. It will be just over $8K so I was hoping to spread it out over 2 cards but didn’t know which ones to go for.
I don’t want anything with more than a $95 fee associated with it.
I appreciate your insight.
Could the purchase fall into any sort of bonus category?
Too bad the Barclay Arrival Plus card is no longer offered because it would have been perfect for you. Not knowing any of the details around the $8000 purchase, I’d go with the Capital One Venture card, offering 50,000 miles on $3000 spend in the first three months and 2 miles on all purchases with a $95 annual fee.
Based on Ben’s picks for the month…

Chase Ink Business Preferred and the Alaska Visa both fall into the category. Citi Premier also is a good pick.
Let us know what category the purchase is, maybe that changes the recommendation

Capital One has been my white whale. I can never get an approval with them 🙂
