What cards should I sign up next?

    Hi Lucky,

Im a young professional who just started with a secured credit card 2 years ago. Since then I signed up for an Amex Gold and a Venture recently. I love the Amex Gold. Since most of my spending is on grocery, and I make use of Rakuten really well, I have been raking up about 200k MR in the past year.

Now, I’m looking to diversify my portfolio with another system but I’m not sure what I should get. I have always eyed the Sapphire Preferred and later pairing it with Freedom. I do like Chase’s transfer best. On the other hand, I just hate that the multiplier on most Chase cards is so low: 1.5x non bonus and 2x travel… The Citi system seems so-so for me: I like the Double Cash but the new Premier just doesnt cut it for me (I’d do much better with 4x grocery on Amex gold), and the benefits on the Prestige pale compared to other premium card. Plus, Citi transfer partners are not too enticing for me.

I dont travel for business, only a couple vacation a year and one or two tran pacific flights to go back home, so I dont need all the bells and whistles of hotel status or anything. I’m just looking for something with solid earning and redemption. My FICO score right now is 754, with balance paid off every month. I only have 3 cards open in all history, with 11k combined limit (the Gold doesnt show limit) and a mortgage and co signed a car loan. I’d figure I wait for a bit before applying for the Sapphire Preferred because I just got the Venture in April. I’m not sure what is my chance with Chase because I have a pretty limited credit history…
