Staples Sale

Staples Sale

Not sure if you are aware of this or not but Staples is running some good sales right now, including 20% off iTunes Gift Cards (100 and 50 dollar increments). I used my Chase Ink to get 5x ultimate rewards points. Purchasing 2 x $100 gift cards for $160 and earning 800 points is a good deal to me.

I normally do not do make these types of purchases, but I subscribe to HBO Now (streaming service) which costs $15/month and is billed to my itunes account. So, for $160 upfront, I get $200 in gift cards to cover the cost of my HBO for the next 13 months (at a 20% discount) and earn 5x points at the same time.

Is this as good a deal as I think it is??

Thanks for the post Ron. I guess people in the miles world are very well aware of the 5X structure at Staples and the 20% off itunes is a deal that had been happening for a while. It never hurts to post that. I like the piece where you bill your HBO fees to itunes and you eventually get 20% off that fee as well. Thank You.
If you are on the lookout for discounted cards checkout giftcardgranny. I always buy gift cards for merchants I know I will spend and save a lot of money. Macy’s is a big example. I recently bought luggage and saved 13% after all discounts and sales which to me is phenomenal.
