SPG/Marriott Strategy (Currently Hold SPG Personal Amex)

SPG/Marriott Strategy (Currently Hold SPG Personal Amex)

I imagine this question might apply to a number of people that only hold the SPG personal amex. The question is what should my strategy be over the next days/weeks if I want to get as many bonuses as possible by opening SPG/Marriott cards? Assume the following:

    (1) I currently hold only the SPG personal amex.
    (2) I do not have my own business of any sort, so probably can’t open the business cards.
    (3) My wife does not hold any of these cards, and she is willing to open new accounts as well.
    (4) We are both under 5/24 (though I am probably at 4/24).

I know there is some time-sensitivity on this one, as there may be only a short window to double up on certain combinations of cards.

    Thank you!!

Since you’re 4/24, get one of the Marriott cards first, and within the next few days as the new restrictions kick in 8/26.
