Southwest Premier Credit Card

Southwest Premier Credit Card

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello all! My wife and I own our own business and have been putting home and business expenses on two different American Express cash cards. We are very happy with these.

We do not travel much by air now but in the future (1-3 years) we plan on taking our two kids on a few domestic trips.

Would we benefit from applying to the Southwest Premier Credit card now and try for the companion tickets or just stay the course with our AMEX cards. Any other options?

    Thank you for your help

OTF the SW CP is maximized by applying late in a year and timing your purchases so that your points land as early as possible the next year. So if you have applied in late 2015, your would earn your pass early 2016 and then have the CP until the end of 2017. I think the SW CP is a great way for a family to travel (no black out dates, free checked bags) within and close to the US. I would time it appropriately so that you maximize its usage. Your wife and you can both earn a CP and name one child each as the companion to cover the whole family.
