James North New MemberI recently got an offer in the mail for a 50,000 mile bonus for the AA/Citi gold card. Since that is about as high as I have seen the Platinum get, I decided to jump on it since the Platinum bones has gone down. My question is, will I be able to get the platinum bonus and the gold bonus when the size of the platinum bonus inevitably increases?

They’re two different products so unless you’ve had the CitiAA Platinum card within the last 18-24 months, I dont see why you shouldn’t be approved for the card.

Good. That is what I thought. The Gold card plus the business and personal platinum is an easy 150,000 miles. Not too shabby.
