Question regarding the Chase Hyatt Card

Question regarding the Chase Hyatt Card

    Hi Folks,

Quick question on the Chase Hyatt Annual Free Night.
$75 AF is not waived in the first year, so do you get a free night credited upon sign up?
Or the free night only shows after you pay for your 2nd AF of $75?

So technically you are paying $75 for the first year to get the sign up bonus of 40k + 5k, if they don’t give you the free night in year 1.

    Thanks in advance!
    B

When you sign up and meet the minimum spend you only get the bonus of 40k points. Not the annual free night.

You get the free night certificate posted to your account when the annual fee for the 2nd year is charged to your card.

    Noted. Thanks for the response!
I guess there is no added bonus to sign up now, I’ll look into other cards.
Does Chase usually offer extra sign up bonuses for this card?

It used to be 2 free nights in a standard room at any Hyatt hotel. This is the revamped version but i havent seen it higher than 40k. I dont think it’ll go back to the 2 free nights anytime soon.

Ok, Thanks for the info. Did the old Hyatt cards also had uncapped annual night cert? And were they grandfathered? Or now all cards annual nights have been capped at Cat 4 like the IHG card?

The annual free night has always been capped at a Cat 4. The old sign up bonus 2 free nights were not capped.
