Question about the old IHG card and the free night

Question about the old IHG card and the free night

  1. Luis Diamond

So I’ve had the card for a year now and got my free night certificate. The $49 annual fee posted. Can I now cancel the card and keep the free night or will I lose the free night cert if I cancel the card? I believe the first year fee wasn’t waived on this card so I already paid the fee once. If I cancel now, will they refund the 2nd annual fee?

  2. Gaurav Community Ambassador

Chase will usually give you 30 days after the annual fee posts to cancel the card without any penalty and a full refund of the fees. You will keep the free night!
