Platinum Delta Statement Credit

Platinum Delta Statement Credit

  1. Fernando M New Member

    Hi there,

I’ve been reading a lot of sites mentioning that any purchase via Delta’s website, even eGift cards will trigger the $100 statement credit. However, while reading through the Platinum card’s Terms & Conditions, there’s a line regarding the statement credit that reads “Purchases to meet the spend requirement do NOT include…purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards;…” Does this line simply indicate that it won’t work when purchasing regular gift cards, but will when purchasing Delta gift cards through their website specifically?

    Thanks for any clarification!

@Fernando M It’s good to read the T&C like you are but be aware that practice and language often differ. There are a lot of data points that indicate that the purchases you mention will trigger the credit. However, if the software changes or for some reason you don’t get credit you won’t have much recourse since it’s not allowed in the terms. Worst case you get a DL gift card that you can use for travel.
