Paying annual fees

Paying annual fees

My credit card charges SG$192 for annual fees. In return, we get 10k krisflyer miles. Do you think it is advisable to pay the annual fees? Thanks

Will you use the miles? Do you get any other benefits? I probably would pay the annual fee if it’s a card I use.

Yes I do use miles. The bank also offers annual fee waiver. 10K miles for SGD$192 seem like a pretty ok deal to me.

1.41 US cents/mile is a little bit high but not too bad if you have a decent redemption in mind. You also get the added benefit of earning additional miles. Seems worth it to me.

I guess I should have been more clear – I wouldn’t keep the card and pay the fee just for the miles, but if the card has other benefits the OP uses, then I think it is worth it. I don’t know what Singapore’s KrisFlyer miles are worth, but I would not keep a card just to get one of the big 3’s miles without substantial additional benefits.
