How fast does your credit report get updated
About a month ago I applied for and got the IHG card. Chase has a neat app that checks your credit score and credit report, and updates it weekly. So far the credit reporting shows no evidence of this newest card.
I’m wondering what one can expect as the time delay in getting your credit report updated — not just for new cards but also for payment of large outstanding balances. Anyone out there know for sure.
And on a related issue about the Chase 5/24 rule, does Chase keep its own records on this at least for its cardholders. Or does it pull a credit history from one or more of the agencies when you apply.
After one billing cycle the new card balance shows up (as long as charges have been made). I’ve never applied for a new card and not used it immediately so I’m not sure when a new card would appear in the absence of initial use. When I paid off a car loan recently, it took two cycles to clear.
I don’t know how Chase does it’s 5/24 checking.
