have you seen any sign up bonus for either Alaska or Hawaii airlines that offers NO FEE for the first year?
i wish to fly to Hawaii to take a ship to NZ….thank you. (i have delta points but there is an opportunity to meet the spending requirements in July for a new card)

Well, you wouldn’t necessarily want Hawaiian miles for that regardless — you’d be better off getting a card that earns American Express Membership Rewards points.

For the Alaska card, the annual fee isn’t waived, but you can choose the offer with a $100 statement credit, which helps balance things out: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2017/05/01/best-alaska-credit-card-bonus/
