Expiring AAdvantage Card

Expiring AAdvantage Card

    Hi Ben,
I am a Gold for life AA flyer using an expiring AAdvantage World Elite card. I also have substantial AA Business Extra points. Question: Does it make sense to use Business Extra points for Admiral’s Club membership this coming year, drop the World Elite card, and sign up for another AAdvantage card with welcome bonus?

How many is substantial? Sure, if you have a ton of points, and would rather burn those than $450 cash, it could make sense. I tend to think there are better ways to use your points, but you’ll have to decide if you feel you’re at a point where the cash is more valuable to you.
