Disputing ticket charge after schedule change

Disputing ticket charge after schedule change

  1. Anonymous Guest

I booked a Ticket with Turkish in June, with the final leg in November. After their mass schedule changes, they are now requiring an overnight layover of ~20 hours. I called to cancel the ticket on the phone, and they quoted a reasonable amount, but they are requiring I come into an office in person to receive the refund, which seems very unreasonable. I do not live in a city with a ticketing office, and they say it is impossible to do the refund over the phone.

Can I dispute the charge with Chase since it was on my Sapphire card? Any guess to the likelihood of the amount being refunded? It seems very unreasonable to require me to fly to a city where they have an office to process a refund.

    Thanks!

I would call again. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to process the refund over the phone, so that sounds like a bad agent.
