Close Jetblue Amex?

    Hi All –
Wondering if anyone has any insight into what will likely happen to existing Jetblue Amex cardholders given the new partnership with Barclays? I dont want to be converted over if I’ll miss out on a new card sign-up bonus. Does anyone have any general prior knowledge about what usually happens regarding:
    – are existing card holders usually converted over?
    – will I have time to close my card if need be?
    – other considerations?

It varies depending on the terms negotiated between the companies. One issuer might buy the portfolio or the old issuer may be able to maintain the users until they close the card. Either way you should have notification before any changes go into effect.
