Citi Prestige Travel Delay Insurance

Citi Prestige Travel Delay Insurance

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello,

I wanted to report a successful claim to Citi Prestige for travel insurance claim. I was set to fly from the east coast to Seattle. I was stuck in DFW overnight due to weather.

My expenses were dinner that night, uber to hotel, hotel, breakfast, and a few snacks. I called Citi and they referred me to the benefits coordinator. From there I got a claim number. They needed me to to email the following documentation.

Flight Info (Citi Points Used to Book) (I sent a screenshot from my confirmation email)

Flight delay info (Screenshot from my phone showing flight canceled)

Receipts

Statement from Citi Card (I don’t think your expenses have to be paid on the citi card)
They took about 4 weeks to process the claim and then mailed me a check. (2 of those weeks, they had the documents but didn’t enter them into the computer)

All in all, it was pretty painless and I received a check in the mail for $200! Hopefully this might help someone.

Congrats! Just a note to others, make sure you make claim within 60 days. I filed 65 days and was denied. No exceptions after calling, emailing and secure messaging.
