Citi Prestige 3x Category question

Citi Prestige 3x Category question

  1. mikejs11 New Member

I am a little unclear on what exactly counts for 3x on the Citi Prestige. It says “airfare”. Does that mean that airline fees don’t count? What about airline vacation packages?

Also, if you are booking through Expedia, Orbitz, or something like that…does that count as a travel agency?

In my experience anything charged directly by an airline should count towards the bonus.

The 3x bonus for the Prestige is defined as “3 ThankYou Points for each $1 spent on purchases at airlines, hotels and travel agencies” so your bookings through Expedia and Orbitz should count.

So do most travel websites count as travel agencies?

    Generally, they do.

What about booking travel through the Citi Travel portal itself? I would assume that is 3x also…

    Should be, yes.
