Chase Sapphire Reserve or Preferred first.

Chase Sapphire Reserve or Preferred first.

So I’m trying to be a bit greedy here and get the sign up bonus from both Sapphire cards. Since I have 2 5/24 slots opening up in a couple months, my plan was to get a Sapphire card and the Ink Business Preferred. Do I open the Sapphire Preferred first then the Reserve later when another slot opens up? Or can I get the Reserve now and then open the Preferred after? This would prob make for an awkward recon call if I get denied for the Preferred later 😉

Personally I find the Reserve more valuable so I would grab it first before applying for the Preferred. Remember that the $300 travel credit on the Reserve is on a calendar year basis so you’ll have more time to use it in 2017 if you apply for that card first.
