I need 30,000 KrisFlyer miles sooner rather than later (planning travel mid- to late- April). We currently have the Chase Sapphire Preferred card in my name with my wife as the authorized user.

Does anyone know whether Chase would approve and award the 40,000 bonus to her if she were to apply for a card in her own name, and then be able to transfer those rewards into my KrisFlyer account?

Yep, shouldn’t be a problem. Make sure you get the current 50k bonus though, and add yourself as an authorized user to get the additional 5k!

Yes, as @Tiffany says, you can do that. As long as you both have the same address you can transfer the UR to your UR account and then transfer everything to your KrisFlyer account. You should be fine as long as your wife is under 5/24. Any reason you’re not considering the Reserve which loses the enhanced bonus in a day or so?
