Chase matches 80,000 point IHG offer
So, I signed up for IHG Credit Card in the middle of June for the standard 60,000 point bonus. Then they raised the bonus to 80,000 points just weeks later. Figured I would e-mail chase to ask about matching, thinking they would just say no. However, I was surprised to see that they matched the new 80,000 point bonus, only requiring an additional $1,000 in spend in the first 3 months.
[I]Upon review, I see that the current enrollment offer on
your account is to:
– Get 60,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000.00 in the
first 3 months from account opening
– Earn 5,000 bonus points after you add your first
authorized user and make your first purchase within this
same 3 month period
We reviewed your credit card account and found that the
offer we can match is to earn 80,000 bonus points after
you spend $2,000.00 on purchases in the first three months
your account is open. Our records show you haven’t met the
spending requirement. After you have met the required
spend, please reply to this email to claim the offer.
Figured I would share this with Lucky and others if they were in the same circumstance as me and wanted to get the extra 20,000 points for IHG!
I’ve found Chase to be very good at matching new promotions if youjve just open the card not that long ago and are still within your original spending period for the bonus.
