Chase Ink Ultimate Rewards – Canceling Account

Chase Ink Ultimate Rewards – Canceling Account

A couple questions related to my Chase Ink Business card.

    1) I made the minimum spend to get my bonus points and am not interested in keeping the card. I haven’t redeemed the points yet. If I cancel now, do I keep the points or do I have to redeem them into an mileage program first?

    2) I also have a Chase Sapphire card and the way Chase sets it up, I have to have a separate business account login for my Chase Ink Business card. I could “add” my Chase Sapphire account to my Chase Ink online profile and then presumably combine those points. If I cancel my Chase Ink Business card, will that somehow mess up the points I have accrued on my Chase Sapphire card?

You have to use or transfer the points out before you cancel the Ink Business card.

Once you have completed the transfer, canceling the Ink card will not affect points in your sapphire card.

You should also be able to have Chase merge all your online profiles together. I just have one.

That’s good to know Tiffany. They insisted that I needed two for business and personal when I set them up.

@David-SFO, you don’t need to have the sapphire preferred card in your profile. You can just enter the card info in your ink account and transfer points. Also, have you considered downgrading to the no fee ink cash card?
